"BigBoys Neighborhood the 1st broadcast"

-Medium Gouache-

I have been listing to BigBoys Neighborhood since i was about 5 I am 24 now!!! I remember my dad making me breakfast and he would put on power as he got me ready for school everyday. and who was the voice that projected out the speaker Mr. Bigboy, a voice till this day as i am getting ready for school is heard from my speakers. BigBoy has been part of our morning lives. He has made us laugh with his jokes, made us cry with his personal life, and made us feel joy when his 1st baby was born and overall he has brought smiles to thousands all over the greater Los Angeles. I had always wanted to make a painting for him but I did not have a clear idea on how to go about it. One day it hit me, instead of having a lemonade stand why not have a broadcast stand.Once the idea was clear I went in and attacked it. having BigBoy and Liz as little kids having there 1st show.
If you take a closer look you can see the hidden details i did with in the painting itself. it is something I enjoying doing. I feel it gives the painting a more personal feeling. Try and find the hidden djs names and look for the Hollywood sign! I enjoy doing this painting and i know Bigboy enjoyed it as well. i only hope he has it hanging in his house! oh and yes i did take it to the radio station!
I thank all those who support my love of art. thank you and god bless.

P.S. today was luscious liz last day on Air with Bigboy! im glad i painted her in. It is going to sound a bit odd not hearing her voice in the morning. her and big were team hit you hard in the morning... I am sure she is will continue to reach millions with her voice and keep us smiling as well. Best wishes to her. thanks for the 10 YEARS LUSCIOUS LIZ!

TOMS shoes art work

I want to give thanks to Toms shoes for allowing me to work this event. I had a great time with interacting with consumers and the other Artist. This was the 1st time working on shoes,I had mentally prepared myself for this challenge, i knew it would be tough working on a small area with no knowledge how paint would work and detail i could get. We had only 25 min. for each shoe... i found out that i could not work with in that time slot. i am very use to taking my time in making sure what i show is clean and very fun to look at. It was very hard having to give a shoe that i knew if i kept it longer would come out looking amazing and to my liking. the consumer were happy with the art work... but i am my biggest critics. but i am happy with what i was able to give and know that they were happy with the work in some way i feel good. here the four i did... worked with acrylic and a some marker work. over all the event was fun its unfortunate that there was no support out there from my community. it would of been great to see those face. i still thank those who take time to look at my art blog. i am working on another project and hope to display it soon. thank you for your time. much blessing to each of you.
